RIC/RIE/RITE

Receiver-in-canal (RIC) hearing aids are some of the smallest behind-the-ear hearing aids because the receiver is placed directly in the ear canal. Since the speaker is located in the ear itself, the sound is more natural. The dome is selected individually according to the level of hearing loss and the shape of the ear canal, which allows the ear to ventilate, prevents moisture from accumulating, and reduces the likelihood of ear infections.

SLIM TUBE/OPEN FIT

Behind-the-ear hearing aids (BTE: behind-the-ear) are worn behind the ear and can be connected to a Slim Tube, also known as an Open Fit or open-type hearing aid connector, which is one of the most modern and comfortable versions of behind-the-ear hearing aids.

Main advantages:

  • A more natural sound sensation, because the ear canal is not clogged – especially useful if low sounds are heard well (a common case).
  • No “plugged ear” sensation (i.e. less occlusion effect).
  • Discreet design – almost invisible, thanks to the thin tube.
  • Suitable for mild to moderate high-frequency hearing loss.

BTE with ind. Insert

Behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aids are worn behind the ear and can be connected to custom earmolds that direct sound directly into the ear canal. BTE hearing aids are designed for people with mild to severe hearing loss. They are suitable for all ages.

Rechargeable hearing aids

A single charge is enough for up to 24 hours! Forget about changing batteries. Chargers are convenient to carry with you, and can be equipped with an integrated external battery (power bank), so you can conveniently recharge your batteries wherever you are.

Solutions for everyone: children, teenagers, adults

Features of hearing aids for children

Children are growing and developing personalities. As a child grows, it is extremely important to hear the speech of others and various sounds perfectly, because only by listening does the child learn to distinguish and repeat the sounds and words they hear. At the OPERA Hearing Center, we offer hearing aids that, after determining the level of hearing impairment and assessing the current needs, are selected specifically for our little Clients. Hearing aids for children must not only be strong, durable, but also safe. It is very important that the child starts using hearing aids as early as possible, because the child’s hearing and speech skills begin to form from the first months of life. They can be applied to babies no younger than 4 weeks old. The child will receive the greatest benefit from hearing aids only if they wear them constantly. An audiologist will advise on the best way for a child to wear hearing aids. However, parents should be aware that it is necessary to teach hearing-impaired children to listen and speak with hearing aids, especially in the early stages. Specialists – audiologists, speech therapists, and deaf educators – will advise on how to do this.
